The American Academy of Water Resources Engineers had its successful debut back in October 2004 and has since experienced rapid growth, with over 750 professional engineers board certified. This success is a direct result of the active participation of water resources engineers and their respective organizations becoming stakeholders in the Academy. The willingness of our Diplomates, as well as their organizations to provide financial support helps further AAWRE's mission and objectives.

Our primary objective and mission is to advance the practice of water resources engineering. We also support and promote positions on water resources issues important to the public health, safety, and welfare.
