The AAWRE Nominations and Elections Committee is calling for nominations for service on the AAWRE Board of Trustees for 2015-2018.  All AAWRE Diplomates are eligible for consideration.  The Board of Trustee seat is a 3-year term beginning effective this October 2015.

In accordance with the AAWRE Bylaws Section 8.1:  Powers and Duties of the Board of Trustees are:

The Board of Trustees shall manage the affairs of the Academy in accordance with the laws under which the Academy is organized.  The Board of Trustees shall have fiduciary, legal, and strategic responsibilities to:

  • Focus on continuous strategic planning,
  • Determine desired outcomes,
  • Develop and approve appropriate policies, rules and operating procedures,
  • Guide operations,
  • Ensure that the Academy works toward meeting its objectives, and
  • Monitor and manage the financial transactions of the Academy.


Trustees are expected to attend and participate in two face to face meetings per year, which normally takes place on weekends and participate in conference calls as needed.  Travel for meetings are funded by AAWRE.

All interested Diplomates may send an email to AAWRE, with an updated Bio or Resume and a brief paragraph statement of service.  Nominations deadline is August 31.

The AAWRE Nominations & Elections Committee will begin review each of the nominations to select the final candidates for voting by the AAWRE Diplomates.
