Rob Traver and Pascale Champagne Complete Tenure on AAWRE Board of Trustees
At the recent fall AAWRE Board of Trustees Strategic Planning meeting on October 25 in Monrovia, CA, both out-going Past-President Rob Traver, Ph.D., P.E., D.WRE, F.ASCE and At-Large Trustee Pascale Champagne, Ph.D., P.Eng., D.WRE, M.ASCE completed their tenures and service on the Board. At the meeting, AAWRE welcomed Jerry Webb, P.E., D.WRE, M.ASCE as the 2014-15 AAWRE President and Phil Turnipseed, P.E., D.WRE, M.ASCE as the new At-Large Trustee.
Rob Traver Pascale Champagne
Dr. Rob Traver who served as AAWRE President from 2012-2013, served on the AAWRE Board since 2009 stated the following regarding his service on AAWRE Board:
“It has been gratifying working on the Board and watching the Academy grow. I am confident that our new board members and president will continue to advance the Academy and I look forward to supporting their work in any way I can.”
Dr. Pascale Champagne who has served as At-Large Trustee since 2011 reflected on her service:
“It was a pleasure serving on the Board and I look forward to continuing my participation and contributions to AAWRE on the International Committee work and outreach.”
Dr. Traver was recently awarded the 2014 ASCE’s William Wisely Award and he will continue to work as the Professor at Villanova University’s Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering & Director of Villanova Center for the Advancement of Sustainability in Engineering and Villanova Urban Stormwater Partnership in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Champagne was recently inducted into the Royal Society of Canada's College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists program and she will continue to work as Canada Research Chair in Bioresources Engineering and Department of Civil Engineering & Department of Chemical Engineering at Queen's University in Ontario, Canada.
