Special Webinar on the State of Civil Engineering Credentialing and the Academies

Dear AAWRE Diplomates: Thank you for being a board‐certified Diplomate. You are advancing the practice in civil engineering by your example and leadership.

The AAWRE's overseeing entity, the Civil Engineering Certification, Inc. (CEC) will host a special one‐hour webinar on Wednesday, January 26th at 1200 EST to provide an update  and discuss the opportunities and challenges CEC and three existing Academies are facing- AAWRE, Academy of Geo-Professionals (AGP), and Academy of Coastal, Ocean, Port & Navigation Engineers (ACOPNE). Most importantly the webinar is designed to seek your thoughts and input.

Topics include review of the vision, mission, sustainment, strategic direction, and expansion of certifications by the CEC and the Academies.

The CEC was created in 2004 by the ASCE Board of Direction to provide a mechanism for certifications to be provided within civil engineering specialties.
